Our Worship
  • Why do we stand when we sing?

"Then some Levites from the Kohathites and Korahites stood up and praised the Lord, the God of Israel, with a very loud voice."  (2 Chronicles 20:19)

  • Why do we clap our hands?

"Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy." (Psalms 47:1)

  • Why do we have audible praise unto God?

"I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips." (Psalms 34:1)

  • Why do we sing in English and in tongues?

"For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding." (1 Corinthians 14:14-15)

  • Why are musical instruments a part of our worship service?

"Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals!" (Psalms 150-3-5)
